The blank page is rather intimidating; what shall I talk about , where start?
I remember reading a smll book by Winston Churchill describing how he started his Artistic career (besides being a Statesman and a bricklayer)! Apparently he was at one of those aristocratic houseparties and his hostess marshalled everyone out for a Saturday afternoon walk; ecept Winston who decided to paint a view of the House. He set up his new easel and placed the canvass carefully, sorted out palette of paint- and then stared at the white expanse of canvas with fear. Eventually he took the very smallest brush and dipped it in blue paint and made a little dot up in a corner. Suddenly an a voice said 'That's no good Winston!' and Lady X grabbed the largest brush and swept blue paint across the canvas. After that he never looked back!
Well that's got me started on this adventure- and one day I must start using my own unused paintbrushes too!!
