We have been blessed this week with several new visitors.
Alittle flock of Goldfinches have returned several times; I was able to get my binoculars in time to see them in all their lovely colours. There have been greenfinches too. I was glad I had left the teazles for the birds to enjoy. I've put down extra seed too for a lovely brown and gold pheasant which took cover in the copse and appeared in and around the pond. And today the fox came right up near the back door! There was a tiny mouse around last week so perhaps he had already found her and was hoping for another meal!
One visitor we have not seen lately is our neigbour's cat, but I expect he has stayed cosily indoors; this is not the weather for cats to roam!
