Coming and Going

I'm not keeping up very well with this journal!


Last weekend I was in Aviemore for the Liberal Democrat Conference. It was very professional and well organised and I was glad I had gone. I rejoined the Scottish Women Lib Dem Association and met up with some fellow Lib Dem Christian Forum members.

We had consultations on Scottish Broadcasting and on Health (I found courage to say my piece!) and debated housing policy -right to buy; meeting Scotlands housing needs-the North Sea Oil Industry, Higher Education, Victim Support, Human Trafficking in Scotland, and Taking Action to Tackle Excess Packaging and an emergency motion on Independence in Kosovo. All can be seen on the website and was on the BBC website.

I think some of the fringe events were inspiring- helped by the supply of food and drink seeing as we were meeting at meal times!

Anyway I've recovered and am geared up to visit Charo my Spanish friend in Valencia. She plans to take us up to the family mansion in the mountains. It is super and should be sunny and a bit warmer than here in Edinburgh! More on my return.
