Politics and the Post Offices

In Edinburgh South we are considered a marginal constituency which was held by Labour with a small majority in the last general election but by the Lib Dems in the last Scottish Parliamentary elections. The Nationalists are not around here but the three othe Parties are all claiming they can win here. What's more they are all claiming the high ground over SAVING OUR LOCAL POST OFFICES. The MSP and his party were campaigning and collecting signatures way back in June to save Warrender Park Post office from closure. Our MP weighed in around September to suggest they were wasting their time as it wasn't threatened, and that he, on the other hand had been voting in various places to preserve all the others. This was a puzzle as we thought it was the Labour Government who decided on the closures. Now the Conservatives have joined in to report that 'they have been continuing the fight to keep our post offices open and were lining up in numbers to save Warrender Park Post Office. However it seems likely to be shut despite all this effort. It would be nice if this meant that all the politicians were working together, but it seems they are all claiming to be fighting against each other! -and there isn't even a General Election in the offing!!
I sometimes wonder whether we electors are considered completely naive!
